Raf Simons SS06’ “Icarus surgit” Split cut-out hoodie
From RAF Simons spring summer 2006 collection is easily one of my favorite hooded sweatshirts of his, featuring a split cut out design along the main seams of the garment allowing the user to show off under layers. Hoodie is sewn only in the main pressure points including the arm pit and shoulder area, still providing a comfortable fit. They ranged in color from light grey to dark charcoal, with this one being almost a teal grey blue tint. All of them treated with a light wash to the cotton leaving for only more fading with time.
This one is tagged Sz 44 yet fits oversized measurements in comparison to other sizes from the collection. You’d see this occur with many of RAFs pieces and it applies to the charcoal version I have from this series.
